Gin first came
into light in the 17th century in Holland as a
medicinal remedy for sour stomach and gout. It
was then when Juniper was added for both medicinal
and flavoring purposes. As gin became more refined
it gained popularity making it a welcome addition
to the spirit retailers of the 1830’s.
Finally in the 1930’s gin had made it’s
way westward to be seen as both refined and refreshing
within the Cocktail Party circuit. Today, gin is
still enormously popular with its crisp and dry attributes.
